To want tell someone about DP's bonus and pay rise?

I know I shouldn't as everyone is struggling financially at the moment!
But we've had our fair share of money probs lately where it has literally kept me awake at night but DP just came home to tell me his boss has given him a big xmas bonus and a big pay rise in January!!! He bloody deserves it too! He's worked his guts out and contributed to keeping the business going!
His boss has asked him to keep it quiet as not everyone is getting a bonus or pay rise!
Im having a bloody good drink tonight to celebrate!

Or just hand them one maskedwoman.

I'm in a good mood too, I've just had £100 in shopping vouchers and two bottles of wine from my secondary job for Xmas, I only do two afternoons there , whereas I do every morning in my main job and , if last year is anything to go by, will get precisely nadda.

Oh, and I shall be having a large whiskey very shortly, to help fight off my nasty, horrible cold.

DP was made redundant last week, and has spent a total of 9 days unemployed before landing a new job at almost twice the money (it's not that much money)

I feel like I've won the lottery; I've been running this house on less than 15k a year for 6 years, DP moved in 2 years ago which more than doubled the household income, now it's going up to around three times my income...

Purple - Thats great news! We have been worried sick about DP's job as there have been many redundancies and lost contracts this year so I sort of now how you must of felt!
