to worry about why Ofsted just called the childminder?

Yesterday afternoon I had a call from the CM on her mobile whilst I was at work. She was at the playground at the time said that Ofsted had just called her mobile asking details about my DCs and that they needed the information more quickly than it would take for her to get home to find my DCs files. I gave her the info she needed (basically just DOBs and the fact that they have no SNs) and she rang back to say everything was fine.

Why, though, would Ofsted have demanded info on my children as such a matter of urgency? It was have taken the CM less than ten minutes to pop home to get the files out.

I'm worried because we had a bit of a run-in with SS a few years back and had thought it was all resolved. AFAIK I was cleared of all allegations.

Could my DCs be on some sort of secret register somewhere that I don't know about?

Should I be expecting further investigation?

has she applied for a variation of her certificate lately?

When i wanted to have 2 under one i had to provide all the information of other children i look after.

festi I've never spoken to the same person more than once at Ofsted, apart from the inspectors who actually came out to see me. And that was one phone call and one visit each. Every other dealing with them has been with a different person.

Eeeeeeek hadn't even thought of that. Gulp. Well, the ages of my DCs are hardly confidential, and given that they have no SNs, I haven't disclosed anything sensitive or intrusive there.

Er, what else were you thinking???

That wasn't me. None of my DCs are school age.

I, earlier this year, had to call Ofsted with regards to a concern one of my parents brought to me with regard to another childminded child in my care (different families)
Ofsted thought it a safe guarding issue and brought in the Safe Guarding team (SS basically) both agencys wanted Names, D.O.bs, Parents contact details, of All the childminded children in my care..
Dont want to worry you, just thought Id tell you my story..

does sound like something HMRC would do. Ive recently had to put in a new claim and they called my CM to check ....

I only said about dealing with same person as in the past that had generally been my experience, but fair enough if others have not experienced that.
