I'm so fed up

WorraLiberty · 06/12/2011 20:18

Blimey I can't believe this thread

Does no-one think it's a bad idea to eat almost 1000 calories and an entire day's fat intake all at once? Xmas Confused

Surely that's a heart attack waiting to happen eventually?

Sparklingbaubles · 06/12/2011 20:20

But I wouldn't eat a box of After Eights every day Worra. Just as a treat. Grin

KiwiJean · 06/12/2011 20:22

Yum, get in there! Have you seen the boxes of Segments, different flavours of Terry's chocolate orange. They're seriously lush, yet I haven't seen them this year.

WorraLiberty · 06/12/2011 20:23

Lol I was talking about a choccy orange! I have no idea about After Eights, except they're not as nice as those little chocolate coin things with minty bits in Xmas Grin

Sparklingbaubles · 06/12/2011 20:26

Elizabeth Shaw Chocolatey minty thingies Worra? I expect After Eights are virtually fat free-they are too thin to hold any fat. Grin

PsychicSatsumaInYourStocking · 06/12/2011 20:29

one whole choc orange is far too easy to eat on my own. they should be bigger.

PsychicSatsumaInYourStocking · 06/12/2011 20:30

I can eat a whole bag of those twirl bites without noticing.

Agree cadbury's choc fingers just nibble away to dust, you don't feel full/sick after a box or two.

WorraLiberty · 06/12/2011 20:31

That's them Elizabeth Shaw! Xmas Grin

Seriously though, I do find these threads odd when people seem to encourage greed without a second thought.

PsychicSatsumaInYourStocking · 06/12/2011 20:32

choc oranges are a quid in asda.

chill Worra, it's christmas Xmas Smile

WorraLiberty · 06/12/2011 20:34

It's not Christmas!

And even if it was, your body still shouldn't be subject to a whole day's fat intake in one tasty treat Lol

Sparklingbaubles · 06/12/2011 20:35

I like those Cadburys minty things that are like chocolate Pringles.

MissMogwi · 06/12/2011 20:36

YANBU and I love you now as I've just remembered I've got one stashed away fir Christmas. December 6th = Christmas in my book Xmas Grin

chrimblycompo · 06/12/2011 20:38

Sounds like op already knows And feels crap enough Worra

WorraLiberty · 06/12/2011 20:40

The OP hasn't said why she's fed up

But if it's because she's eaten a whole chocolate orange, a thread full of people patting her on the back isn't going to help her anyway is it?

Ilovepigs · 06/12/2011 20:49

worra-stop killing the buzz please.

Op-I wouldnt sweat it-since poundland has got all their xmas goodies in I most certainly have not scoffed 6 toblerones,2 choc oranges and 6 boxes of after eights-no not meBlush

wasabipeanut · 06/12/2011 20:50

I wouldn't say it was unreasonable but I would say it was greedy. And probably not even that nice after about half of it.

I can see you aren't in a happy place OP Sad

PsychicSatsumaInYourStocking · 06/12/2011 20:58

come on worra you must have a desperately unhealthy vice? Xmas Grin

flamegirl77 · 06/12/2011 21:00

I would if I had one. Hope you feel better soon.

PsychicSatsumaInYourStocking · 06/12/2011 21:01

hmm

OP did bring this to AIBU, so may want to spark a choc-scoff-debate

or, she's new and didn't realise this would spark a choc-scoff-debate

Xmas Biscuit
PsychicSatsumaInYourStocking · 06/12/2011 21:02

it's only unreasonable if

a) you had diabetes/ another dietary issue where choc could be incredibly damaging

or
b) you stole it
c) you were bullied or pressured into eating it
d) ...can't think of any more

witherhills · 06/12/2011 21:15

No dietary issues

Just fed up, so I ate it
Now Im fed up because I ate it
Nice vicious circle

DS been poorly for 4 days, he's better today, but this pm bouncing off the walls and I feel so mean for shouting at him

But he doesn't listen, has seriously hurt me half a dozen times today, some seriously bizarre requests, like wanting to walk 2 streets away back from the shops, rolling around on sainsburys floor, running away from me

Bless him

OP posts:
WorraLiberty · 06/12/2011 21:26

It sounds like you've had a shit day OP but honestly, gorging on on chocolate won't (and hasn't) made anything better has it? Sad

Perhaps next time, a hot bubble bath when he's in bed and just a few segments?

WorraLiberty · 06/12/2011 21:27

Meant to say, hope he's better soon! Xmas Smile

wildfig · 06/12/2011 21:28

the trouble with chocolate oranges is that they're portioned in a way that makes your subconscious think it's okay to scoff the lot in one go, viz, they're orange-sized. No one would think badly of you for eating a whole orange. If you're working your way through a layer of Thorntons Continental, at some point your brain kicks in and mutters that you've had seven or nine or whatever, whereas with a chocolate orange, your brain's still thinking, half an orange, not so bad really.

That may just be me though.
