To not go to the shops and put dd in telco value nappies

i forgot to buy nappies today. Dd is ptooy trained in the day but nit at night. The nearest shop is 20 min walk and it's pissing it down. Dh is working away for the night. All I have is tesco value nappies that I bought dd1 for her dolls. They look awful. Should I drag dds out to the shop or just make do

just make do.

twilight3 · 06/12/2011 16:45

depends on the size. If your dd is 2 and her dolls use newborn nappiew, I'm afraid you're gonna have to take the trip.

Otherwise tesco value nappies are absolutely fine. Always rememeber what your kids do in them..

mypersonalfavourite · 06/12/2011 16:46

We use them. They're fine. They're probably no worse than nappies were about 15 years ago.

pud1 · 06/12/2011 16:47

They are the right size. She is just prone to nappy Rash

We use them too, they're far less likely to leak than the more expensive ones IMO.

twilight3 · 06/12/2011 16:48

should be fine for a night. She'll probably be more annoyed if you drag her out in the rain and make her walk for 40 minutes.

pud1 · 06/12/2011 16:50

Will go for it then. You enevr know I might prefere them. Would just be my luck actually after forkingnout for nappies for 4 years I might find a cheaper alternative just as I am about to stop

by "should be fine for a night"I was responding to the nappy rash response....

Imnotaslimjim · 06/12/2011 16:50

I used the Asda value ones for DS once he was dry in the day, I found they help a lot more than a pampers!! Go for it, it'll be fine

Methe · 06/12/2011 17:02

We used them for DD when she was toilet training. They are not great, still better than pampers though!

Will use them again for Ds when he's night training.

porcamiseria · 06/12/2011 17:04

are you mad????? really? asking re value nappies, what do you think people will say!!!

Methe · 06/12/2011 17:10

What do you think people ought to be saying porcamireria?

pud1 · 06/12/2011 17:11

If I knew what the answer would be I would not bother posting the question

i don't understand porc... and I don't seem to be the only one.... Your point is....?

CoffeeDog · 06/12/2011 17:25

We use tesco value pull ups for potty training - and even at night now bargin at £2 for 18ish ;)

2BoysTooLoud · 06/12/2011 17:28

ooh coffeedog our Tesco doesn't do the value pull ups; thought they had stopped doing them. Will have to try a bigger Tesco. Are they ok?

Alligatorpie · 06/12/2011 17:31

I toilet trained my dd by changing from expensive comfy diapers to no name brand supermarket ones. She didn't like them so stopped peeing in them. It might work for you too!

2BoysTooLoud · 06/12/2011 17:33

I am getting sadly quite excited about hopefully being able to buy value Tesco pull ups!!

pud1 · 07/12/2011 20:54

I am happy to report that we had a leak free night with no sign of nappy rash.

I have not bought nappies today and am using them again tonight
