to think that there can't be very main people left in the land who actually like Gary Barlow, and that his stint as an X Factor judge has been a Bad Thing

He is awful isn't he? Come across as really pompous, spiteful and a little bit thick.

No wonder Robbie Williams used to loathe him, if that's how he carried on.

As I said on yesterday's X factor thread, he is like Stan Boardman crossed with all the Borgias.

I like it when he does a cute look for the camera at the beginning. (Much more classy than showing your minging tattoo off Tulisa).

As for Gary Barlow - no idea what he's said or done, but I still would (now though, not then!)

Self-fellate? That's the only reason he cut out the carbs. I don't find him particularly objectionable, based on the X Factor. But seeing him oiling up to Cameron does make me feel a bit queasy.

I like him, as a judge I think he is excellent, honest and usually spot on.

I loathe that vacuous waste of space Kelly and Tulisa too, both completely lack talent.

I really hope he does it again next year.

I don't think he's that bad. Smug, yes probably. But I do think he knows what he's talking about with his critique. Same with Kelly.
How is Louis even on this show??

Spiteful and a bit stupid.

Just a couple of examples

  • praising Framkie's voice
  • slagging off song choices one week, yet when someone criticises his song choice he rants that it is not a song choice competition Hmm
  • everything else he has said in the last 12 week Grin

I am disliking him recently, and I started off thinking he was a good judge. But he has soured for me. Last night's comments just made me dislike him and the format of X Factor even more.

The competition between judges is souring the whole thing for me now. I know that there has always been competition between judges as they have acts which they are associated with as mentors. But when Cowell was doing the show, he had more detachment from the acts, as he wanted the show to win (I'm not saying that this format doesn't have weaknesses or that it was perfect either though).

Gary puts other acts down purely to promote his own, sometimes much weaker acts, and to me, it is spiteful, childish, transparent and cruel.

Not that any of the other judges are any different at times. its just that I had high hopes for Gary.

My best friend at senior school loved Take That - she had a major crush on the one who ended up witj dreadlocks.

Fast forward 17 or so years and my new best friend (different person) is also an avid Take That fan who went to two TWO of the concerts and showed me pictures.

Sad

I have never had a best friend who likes the Smiths. This is very sad.

I liked the Smiths

and scorned the TT fans from a lofty height. It was the law for an Indie gal back in the day. I always think RW has a face like Stan Laurel.

I even watched XF once to see what the GB fuss was about, he's certainly looking a lot better but still, naaaah

YANBU - I too now hate Gary.

Poor Little Mix! Every week he's moaning that they're out of tune... but they're not Confused Is he deaf?!

Just very obviously slagging off everyone but Marcus. I like Marcus but Gary does him no favours.

Also glad Misha has gone. She was really annoying.
