OK, so this is hardly a world-shattering issue, but it irked me just the same. My mum had asked me to look out for some particular M&S product (cherry liqueur chocolate, if anyone's really interested) which were out of stock at her nearest branch.
I spotted them in a motorway branch on my way somewhere - £6 for two, so feeling highly delighted, bought them.
Then a day or so later I'm in another 'normal' branch and lo and behold, the self-same things are £6 for three boxes.
I actually emailed M&S to query this and their answer was that the motorway branches are franchises and basically, they can charge what they like!
As I say, it's a minor gripe but ooh, it makes me cross, and seems rather sharp practice. I guess I'm being naive but it hadn't occurred to me that prices in an M&S - a humungous chain if ever there was one - wouldn't be the same everywhere.
