DD1 brought home a note today that said for the nursery Christmas party I would need to provide her own plate of food and her own drink with her name on it clearly labelled. AIBU to think this is a bit OTT? I don't remember this when I was at school. We all brought a plate to share and were told of allergies if there were any in the class.

To make things more bizarre this nursery is having a Christmas concert in the local church where children from the morning and afternoon session will combine to sing songs. Parents aren't invited.

What is the point of performing if nobody can watch them? Why drag them to the church when it's what they have done in class with an extra 15 children they've never met? It boggles my mind.

At least we're invited to the nativity next week though!
