To expect a picture behind the door of my sons advent calendar considering it cost me nearly £6?

Because according to the company (I emailed them, I know Im sad) they would love to know how 'all the other calendars' manage to get pictures behind their doors, because they have no idea. And its not the norm to have a picture there.

Wtf? I thought that was the whole point?!

AIBU?

They said they've looked into it, can only find Disney calendars online that have no pictures.

I think, after paying nearly £12 for two calendars Id expect at least a half arsed black and white picture inside? Especially considering the chocolate had a poxy stick man on it?

Just checked DD's, it doesn't either. £2 from M&S. They used to, didn't they? This one has opaque plastic though (the mould that the chocs come out of). I think they used to have clear plastic.

YABU

Everyone knows advent calendars cost 99p unless they are the Playmobile ones. Serves you right OP - go to Tescos next time Wink

All they need to do is print some onto the inside of the box before it's folded and sealed. The calendars without the chocolates usually have pictures, have you looked in the pound shop??

Where did you buy it, Harrods?

My £1.99 Milkybar one from Sainsburys has a picture on the door and also behind where the chocolate was.

YABU want a picture get a proper advent calander not those shite chocolate ones

belledechocchipcookie · 01/12/2011 13:54

We had a lindt one last year. I was very disappointed. I was hoping for lovely chocolate, not 24 balls that I can buy myself for 1/4 of the price. Bastards.

HairyBeaver · 01/12/2011 13:55

Mine had a joke on the inside of the door Grin

Envy We have a wooden tree with little draws underneith. Inside the draws are tiny decorations that you hang on the tree. I may not bother with a chocolate calendar.

I did get an non chocolate one because of it, that was a fiver so Ive spent nearly £18 on bloody calendars.

The reason it was a bit more expensive is because its a dairy free chocolate calendar (sons severe milk allergy). So I appreciate that the ingredients may be more expensive but no picture is tight IMO.
