AIBU to be a bit shocked at this facebook status?

So an old friend just updated her facebook status as follows...

'Happy 6 month day to my lil (name of child)...the sexiest lil man ever!'

Seriously?! The last word I would think of to describe a 6 month old or a child full stop is 'sexy'. It just sounds wrong to me!

Yuk, I hate it when people refer to babies and children as 'sexy.' I was looking through the photos of my friend's 18month old daughter on FB and came across one of her with her similarly aged boy cousin. Someone had commented 'Aww, 2 sexies together.' The same person had also commented on other photos of the baby things such as 'sexy in her new dress' etc. If it had been my child and she was making those comments I would have had to say something!

I also know someone who taught a 3 year old to 'shake your sexy willy.' Totally inappropriate!

And at my niece's 5th birthday party the entertainer made his puppet say he thought she looked sexy. I did cat's bum mouth at that moment, while the other adults laughed!

I can sort of understand young people taking up the new meaning, ick as it is, but surely the older generation remember when sexy was something you turned the lights off for?
did the older generation adapt well to 'wicked' ali g style, or did they still associate it with damnation and hellfire?

no bertie, 'gawjuss' is merely badly spelt, whereas sexy represents the pornification of society, the loss of innocence of our kids and the general dogward direction of society.

I can't understand how on one hand people are worried about paedophilia- but then they are calling babies 'sexy'. It's just a World of Wrong.

My work colleague calls her nephews sexy, nothing in it at all, Ive never done it but it means nothing.

Those who raise eyebrows at it I've to wonder where there minds are being offended by it.

My sister commented on a pic of my DS - he was posing with just shorts on - no top as it was summer but she wrote "wit woo sexy lil man".

That made me cringe given he was about 20 months at the time! I hated it so much I had to delete it.

"Sexy" + children just don't go well together in my opinion.

I love my kids, they are the most gorgeous, beautiful people ever (imo). Neither of them are sexy though. It turns my stomach when people talk about children/babies like that. Yuck.
