DS went to school today absolutely fine.
I got a call at 10 am to go pick him up as he had had diarrhoea.
I brought him home,he seems fine,no more diarrhoea since,he has eaten normally, been running around, even went to football practice tonight.
If he is ok overnight and eats breakfast and has no more diarrhoea,AIBU to send him into school tomorrow ? The teacher said to keep him off 24 hours but as it will practically be that long anyway,Im inclined to take him in...

Hope you kept him off, op. And for next time, please remember if he has been asked not to come into school, it would be courteous to avoid football, cubs, parties, etc. also. If he's infectious, he will be infectious to everyone, not just classmates.

the definition of diarrhoea is passing loose/watery faeces 3 or more times a day so if he only went to the toilet once he is not classed as having diarrhoea. One loose poo doesnt mean much - I would send him in

He had the one runny poo at school yesterday morning. It was quite bad in that it went onto his clothes but he has not done anymore since,he had a normal poo this morning.
I kept him off anyhow as I didnt want the school thinking I was selfish and irresponsible ...He has been absolutely fine all day, eating and drinking normally.I am still not convinced it was a bug but hey ho...
