It was a cardiology appointment and I was expecting to be berated for my weight and blood pressure which are both substantially higher than they should be.....was totally fired up....I mean I am still BF and suffering PND so what do they expect me to do about it? Huh! Have they even bothered to read my notes? etc. etc.

Only problem is they did read my notes....carefully....and then all the guy said was 'see you next year when hopefully things will have settled down a bit for you.'

Took the damn wind right out of my damn sails.....

Mind you they didnt do an ECG and I had shaved my legs SPECIALLY.

Maybe I will write a letter of complaint after all...

Grin a while ago i went to an out of hours doctor thinking i had a urine infection and ended up in a and e on the heart monitor thing (not sure what it is not ecg it was the ones you see on tv the stick to various point on you and beep...).
I hadnt shaved my legs but more than that when i got there feeling pretty much fine apart from the fact it stung when i peed the really nice young male doctor and two nurses (to make it even better one of the nurses recognized me from school ) practically ripped my clothes off my top half to reveal a greyed old nursing bra stuffed with disposable nursing pads. Then insisted that i had to be in view of the desk so i ended up in nursing bra and pads curtains open being stared at by a desk of doctors and nurses who for some reason seemed to assume i was about to drop dead. I didnt and they got bored and sent me home.
When i got home i ordered new bras.

That's an EEG, I think, DirtyDishes.

I had this same thing my first diabetes appointment after my son was born. I was ready to go in all guns-a-blazing with my 'I just gave birth, of course I'm too heavy and my blood sugar is out of control, give me some time!!' And the doctor said 'Let's bring you back in 4 months and see if things have settled down. You have just given birth, after all.'

I think I actually deflated a bit in my chair!

Grumpystiltskin · 27/11/2011 10:51

EEG is a brain monitor. Electro-encephalogram. ECG is cardiogram. Usually a 12 lead one with stickers everywhere!!

Tee2072 · 27/11/2011 16:03

You are right grumpy! Blush

entropygirl · 27/11/2011 17:47

Would just like to add that one of my main claims to fame is that I once found an ECG sticker under my boob over a week after I had the ecg done!

Dirtydishes, did they sort out your stingy pee? Grin

Sassybeast · 27/11/2011 17:51

Hate it when that happens Grin I had to go to see a locum GP with yet another bout of sinusitis and tonsillitis. Was fully expecting to be told it was viral and preparing to launch into battle. He wrote the prescription for antibiotics without a murmur. Was VERY deflated Wink
