To complain to the shop about DD's shoes?

I posted a week ago about my 16mo DD's feet having blisters, in places suspiciously where the feet would rub against the shoe.
This week they are no better and having had a feel in the shoes there are big bits of seams/joins that would definitely be causing blisters.
I can't believe a £45 pair of shoes would be doing this to a little pair of feet :(

Can I complain to the shop? She's only been in them about a month! Grr!

yes I would take them back. Neither of my kids have had blisters from shoes (dd is 8, ds is 5) - normally buy Clarks.

Is she wearing socks with the shoes?

Carrotsandcelery · 26/11/2011 20:15

I would go back to the shop. I have had to do this once and the assistant took one look and changed them straight away. We have had no problems since. It may be a rogue pair or a mistake in the fitting.

Of course you should take them back. We once had to take back a pair of lelli kellis (I know, I know) for this reason - shop were great about it, money back no problem

She always wears socks with shoes. The shop assistant did wonder if she needed a bigger size but bigger size felt too big in the end. It's just these really big seams that are getting in the way so not sure if it's the size that's the issue Confused

Hang on - you noticed the blisters a week ago and you're only checking her shoes now? Confused

HollyFP · 26/11/2011 20:23

I was waiting to see if it was hand foot & mouth as suggested by a previous poster

eh? even more Confused So - your daughter has blisters on her feet and instead of checking her shoes (which is where 99.999% of blisters would come from) you come on here and then decide to wait a week in case its hand, foot and mouth???

HollyFP · 26/11/2011 20:31

Thanks for being so helpful Confused

I have bought most shoes from Clarks and if there's been a problem they've changed them without a murmur.

Yes, the shop should change/refund.

DD once had a pair of shoes, when she was 4, that caused blisters after the first day. We went straight back to the shop and the lady said they had been incorrectly fitted and wanted to know who had sold them to us. They were exchanged immediately and very apologetically. All that said dd was very difficult to fit, H fitting, square foot, high instep. It was Alexandra or Alexandra or Alexandra. Fortunately they have slimmed down as she has got older - and she's the only teenager I know whose feet are so wide that ballet pumps don't slip.

Hmm so maybe it is a size issue, since she's had them a month?
I'm taking them back anyway tomorrow as either way it's wrong Angry
