aldiwhore · 23/11/2011 14:09

My Dh just put this on twitter. Its always movember for him and usually fanuary for me all year round, especially in winter.

Andrewofgg · 23/11/2011 14:39

Thank you aldiwhore and I'm glad I'm not the only male to be tickled whoopsie! amused by this.

I haven't been clean-shaven for thirty-odd years but there the Andrewofgg tells all saga ends.

Dawndonna · 23/11/2011 14:41

AbsofCroissant · 23/11/2011 14:43

I have some questions

  1. Will this be done to raise money for charity
  2. Will people generally be posting pictures charting the progress of "fannuary"
  3. Will people set up a just giving site with those pictures
  4. Will people be circulating links to said just giving site to colleagues, friends and family to raise money?
Mrsdoasyouwouldbedoneby · 23/11/2011 14:46

Since I've got older I seem to find I can join in with Movember anyway....

Saltire · 23/11/2011 16:03

We could call it "fanny's are us", and (on a roll) charge men people £5 a go to look at it Grin

AbsofCroissant · 23/11/2011 16:06

I suppose it depends on who's posting.

I'm just bracing myself, as there's always someone doing a charity benefit at work, so will be expecting fannuary updates come January. Switftly followed by HR exploding from shock. All of HR

WilsonFrickett · 23/11/2011 16:06

If we wait till mid-month - pleats and braids stage for many of us - it won't be rudey-dudey. Just hairy....

SarahStratton · 23/11/2011 16:08

Is there a Fannuary FB page yet?

MsBrian · 23/11/2011 16:18

Literally PSML at the thought of our HR department being faced with this Grin

I'm in for a Hairy Merry Xmas - can't wait till January.

MsBrian · 25/11/2011 12:09

Bump!
Didn't realise this apparently took off, just saw the Fannuary thing come up on a male friend's facebook status - he's being all sarcastic about it the twat

OTheHugeMjanatee · 25/11/2011 13:29

My fadge stays beautifully insulated all year round, thanks

Mr OTH takes the view that I'm a grownup and am supposed to have hair there, and besides it's my fadge so Grin

HopefullyDH · 26/11/2011 02:16

Can I just put in a quick plea against Fanuary? Or better yet you could ask husbands people to donate for waxember?

hairylights · 26/11/2011 08:03

SirBoobAlot · 26/11/2011 08:04

"Shave your Mary then let it get hairy" is possibly one of the most awesome things I have ever read.

KittyFane · 26/11/2011 08:58

"grow it thick, save a chick" is my favourite post on FB!!
( for cervical cancer awareness obviously!) :o

SarahStratton · 26/11/2011 09:37

Which is the right FB link for Fannuary? I can see loads, and I'm scared of joining the wrong one. Confused

picnicbasketcase · 26/11/2011 09:40

And if anyone forgets or can't grow an enormous 70s bush - merkins for all.

KittyFane · 26/11/2011 09:44

Serenitysutton · 26/11/2011 10:01
