..when i ordered several other things from several other companies that arrived much quicker and charged nothing or just a couple of pounds?

DD is 14 and has her entire xmas wish list bookmarked on various sites....hollister, shuh, debenhams boux avenue etc, so i did her christmas shopping online to save time and petrol.

i orderd all her stuff on sunday. by monday the boux avenue stuff arrived. tuesday the shuh delivery came, wednesday the debenhams stuff, today her hollister delivery finally arrived, having been charged delivery at 3 times the price of the others i wonder what i get for my delivery charges? because the hollister stuff was charged at a price for each item - so no matter how big an order is was it was £5 per item ordered....bloody rip off merchants!

AND it was the last to arrive!
wtf are hollister charging such extortionate prices on delivery for exactly?

Because people like you pay them?

squeakytoy · 18/11/2011 01:45

Surely you knew this when you were ordering?

whostolemyname · 18/11/2011 01:48

Isn't it shipped from America? I think thats probably why. But yes, very expensive!

squeakytoy · 18/11/2011 01:50

They have a flat rate shipping charge of £10.

redlac · 18/11/2011 06:12

It's shipped from America - I hope it all fits cos its a bugger to send back

ThatVikRinA22 · 18/11/2011 11:10

yes i knew it when ordering - just seems disproportionate when looking at the other delivery charges from other companies is all im saying.

The nearest hollister store to me is a two hour round trip away so it was pay the delivery or stick a tenners worth of petrol in the car.

is it shipped from the US? the returns note address is for somewhere in this country so i assume its come from somewhere here too?
i hope to god it fits...ive ordered mediums cos i know their sizes are teeny weeny....she is normally a size 8 to 10,

its just been so much easier to shop online, i work a 6 day week so the thought of fighting my way to the shops on my days off wasnt filling me with xmas cheer...Grin
