I'm surprised it's taken so long for one of us to pipe up.

Me too.

And I married a pisces.

Fucking nightmare!

Petisa · 16/11/2011 10:52

Hello! This thread has really made me laugh as my dp is Aries and bonkers and gobshite definitely sums him up!

And he is covered in scars from jumping off high things as a kid and knocked out his front teeth too. Grin

The most bonkers, fiery, proud, sometimes aggressive, unable to apologise, melodramatic, warm, loving dp I could never hope to meet!

I'm a Saggi, so we can be warm and passionate together, but I can get burnt, and sometimes it is a bit too noisy, ranty and melodramatic around here.

Our dds are Taurus and Virgo, which is probably for the best - they calm us down Grin

HappyCamel · 16/11/2011 17:22

Ok, other than scars I have a theory about Aries having high pain thresholds, anyone else do labour on g&a or less?

ViviPru · 16/11/2011 17:25

Don't start me on the high pain threshold thing - I maintain that's why I get into so many scrapes, because it takes a lot to really hurt. But conversely, I have a bizarre resistance to general anaesthetic. Childbirth is going to be interesting...

ObviouslyOblivious · 16/11/2011 17:28

I have a resistance to local anaesthetics and sleeping tablets. The midwives also seemed quite impressed with how I coped while on the induction drip too.

Moominsarescary · 16/11/2011 17:30

Me too, realy high pain threshold g&a with ds2 nothing with ds4 but had emcs with ds3 and reacted badly to general anaesthetic (3rd bad reaction)

Moominsarescary · 16/11/2011 17:31

Induction drips don't work with me, with ds1 they had to get permition from the consultant to turn it up higher as it just wasn't working

ViviPru · 16/11/2011 17:32

I meant local not general Blush

God that laparoscopic cholecystectomy would have been a barrel of laffs if I were resistant to general Confused

MrBloomsNursery · 16/11/2011 17:34

I'm okay with deep cuts and grazes. I was induced and then had an epidural during labour though and I'm scared of needles.

Moominsarescary · 16/11/2011 17:40

General sends my blood pressure low and I end up on oxygen for days

The struggle to insert spinals for some reason so I had my cervical stitch removed with just gas and air

whojamaflip · 16/11/2011 22:39

Scars here too - knee, elbow and leg - all needing stitches!
4 dcs - 1st one epidural, next 2 births nothing and last one just G & A.

I'm fine once the accident has happened no matter how badly I've damaged myself but I tend to be a little worried about it before it happens iyswim.

Dh is a saggy teary arse and we get on fine - Dcs are 2x Pices, 1x Scorpio and 1x Cancer but haven't a clue if thats good combinations or not.

wannabestressfree · 16/11/2011 22:54

ooooooh me me

Am very bolshy, fiery, lots of other things described aries :} with three aries sons. Dp is capricorn so not sure how good/ bad that is but the riding rough shod over someones emotions is about right. I also have that garfield quote and have also been described as an ice queen..........

ViviPru · 16/11/2011 23:04

Did you have it on a mug wanna? My Mum broke the handle off my Garfield mug after I'd had it over 10 years and because she suspected I'd go postal about it, she tried to stick it back on with araldite in the hope I wouldn't notice. I noticed. And went postal.

twooter · 16/11/2011 23:06

I'll sign in too. Married to a taurean - and goodness, the effort in keeping calm while he works himself up to asking me something - talk about beating about the bush!
Fiery, fiercely protective of children yes, scars - non- facial but from getting kicked by a horse and tripping over at an ice rink.

baskingseals · 17/11/2011 07:32

also married to a taurus
so know now the true meaning of UTTER FRUSTRATION

had no pain relief whatsoever with all 3 dc
gas and air made me sick

wannabestressfree · 17/11/2011 08:56

It was on a key ring which my mother lovingly gave me. She is always telling me I have a complete lack of any compassion..........

SNAP. I'm practised in the art of Taurean toleration too.
