I use a recipe I got out of a magazine, which has a real mix of fruit in it, including glace ginger. I can even eat this one, and I normally avoid these kind of rich fruit cakes. I'm making mine this week, starting with soaking the fruit for 2-3 days......... I thought Delia's recipe was a bit dull.

I have always wrapped newspaper around my tin and sat the tin on some newspaper as well. I haven't had any burning as yet!
