they said, that some people who live on there street, an asian family, had some pizzas delivered. and that they couldn't believe it, as you would think they'd have a big vat of curry delivered wouldn't you??

a saying this in front of our dd
b trying to get us to agree with it

they are often coming out with all sorts of weird stuff

they are obbsessed with overweight people.
they say that when the are in mcdonalds[barf] and they see really fat people eatting allsorts that they feel like saying to people, you shouldn't be eatting that....
and asking us if we get the urge to say something to these peopleShock
i can honestelt say ive never even thought that about someone let alone felt the urge to tell them they shouldnyt be eatting something.

I'm suprised they have the time to look out the window and see what is being delivered to their neighbour's homes. Nosey parkers.

My old German next door neighbour was quite put out when several Nigerian and Sudanese families moved into our neighbourhood. I won't quote her exactly, but her words were to the effect that she didn't trust those people of African descent and uncertain paternity. I pointed out to her that we Aussies had felt much the same about people of her nationality a couple of times in the last century, but maybe it's better to rise above cheap generalisations and look for the good in people.

Right - I see I've misjudged the comments that were made and have asked for my previous two posts to be deleted. Apologies everyone, I'm on a hair trigger this week because of an incident a few days ago. I'm going to take a break from posting. Apologies, again, if anyone sees my posts before they're deleted.

manhavingbaby if you really fancy a giggle, we have too!

SirHumphreyAppleby · 13/11/2011 10:38

Sorry I should have made it clear I was being sarcastic and that sarcasm was directed at pendeen if I have offended anyone, I am very, very sorry. It may be that my comment was rather ill-judged, but it was meant to be supportive to kladdkaka Smile

Kladdkaka · 13/11/2011 10:58

I knew that and I have a genetic predisposition to not knowing that :o

SirHumphreyAppleby · 13/11/2011 12:05

Thank god for that I was starting to doubt my judgement!

Jacksmania · 13/11/2011 15:52

Thank goodness they deleted my comments - I've had a week of making a twat of myself but thought I'd managed to stop the trend :o but found myself shouting at you SirHumphrey - which you so clearly didn't deserve.

also reminds self that Kladdkaka is more than capable of defending herself

Sorry, Kladdkaka, you won't know me. But I've read a few of your posts, most especially on the thread about going shopping and needing the disabled change room for your frame, but it not being available, so you had to stand on your bad leg, etc - it made so angry I wanted to reach through the screen and smack someone kind of like CheerfulYanks's Slap List.

WhoseGotMyEyebrows · 14/11/2011 10:55

Kladdkaka When he has this, he deconstructs it and eats it in order of preferance saving the best for last. So if he has a plate of stew he will have to sort out the carrots to one side, the potatoes to another, the chicken over there etc before he even tastes it.

A friend of mine does that. I have recently been wondering about Autistic traits in her as she gives so much detail about everything she does that it makes my brain hurt and she has some unusual social ways. I had never thought about the food thing as didn't realise there was a link. Both my brother and my dad are undiagnosed but I believe the would be if tested. My brother probably Autism and my dad . . . . I am not really sure as he seems tick boxes in a few areas but his eating is very limited. It's like the diet of a child.

WhoseGotMyEyebrows · 14/11/2011 10:55

Not sure what the point of that post was.

Kladdkaka · 14/11/2011 12:10

It sounds like a 'wow I didn't know that, but now I do it makes perfect sense' post. Sharing heightened awareness is great. The more who do, the less we suffer.

Kladdkaka · 14/11/2011 12:11

As for limited eating, if my daughter had her way she'd live on sweetcorn, rice and strawberries. Forever.

Pendeen · 14/11/2011 13:08

Sarcasm?

Ah yes, well that backfired nicely didn't it?

coffeesleeve · 14/11/2011 13:35

Fat people do need telling.

Haha! Yeah, I'm 5'2", 12st, definitely fat. I took the bronze medal at this year's English powerlifting championships. I definitely need telling how fat, lazy and disgusting I am.

Of course, I'll then pick the person doing the telling up & chuck them across the room Grin

WhoseGotMyEyebrows · 14/11/2011 18:49

[avoids coffeesleeve] Grin
