to think that the new Ahh Bra is a load of hype?

My 3 Pack Ahh Bras arrived this morning. What a load of bollocks! They are definitely not as advertised - the band rolls up instantly, the machining on the straps cuts 2 thin hurty lines in shoulders (I'll try them inside out and see if that helps), and my boobs are squashed together! And I thought they would be the answer to all my bra problems.

Ha! My 5 year old DD is OBSESSED with Ahh Bras. She watches the adverts for them on the shopping channel in the morning (first channel SKY switches to!). She would love an one and calls her vests her Ahh Bras!! Grin

ps She also likes the adverts for the steamer mop Wink

I like the look of the Ahh Bra but can't afford them.

When I was shopping a couple of weeks ago I went into peacocks and they had these so I bought some and they're so comfortable that i've been back and bought two more in the pink and nude colour. :)

JamieOliveOil · 11/11/2011 17:34

What's an Ahh Bra you say? It's a Bra that makes you go "ahh...."!

OldGreyWassailTest · 11/11/2011 17:38

Yes Jamie - but you also go ouch, aaarrgh and bloody hell !

bananaistheanswer · 11/11/2011 17:41

I've got them too Grin Despite the fact they don't support the way the advert suggests, and I nearly dislocate both shoulders putting them on, I love 'em! I do find them more comforable than normal bras so they work for me. But yup, the advert isn't that representative Grin

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 11/11/2011 17:41

Is there much support to them? They look a bit flimsy - I'd be worried about black eyes...

Malificence · 11/11/2011 17:42

I've been wearing them for 10+ years, got all mine from JC Penney in the U.S, they are very comfy indeed, I don't do normal bras at all but I love my aah bras Smile

bananaistheanswer · 11/11/2011 17:43

you also go ouch, aaarrgh and bloody hell !

Grin that would be a better, and more realistic advert slogan I believe... and a few expletives and that pretty much sums up what happens when I put one on.

bananaistheanswer · 11/11/2011 17:45

maisie they make you feel as though you are all 'trussed up' like you would be if you were trying to strap 'em down. So, not perky like the model in the advert suggests, but not roaming free with the potential to cause black eyes...

PreviouslyonLost · 11/11/2011 17:46

Flimsy looking...not for the larger breasted Sad

Currently on my last bra, and even THAT is missing an underwire...new ones ones still not delivered after 10 days...F.U Debenhams Angry

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 11/11/2011 17:47

B cup, so not huge - but I like that idea of being trussed up. Age is catching up with me and them!

crashdoll · 11/11/2011 17:52

I was thinking of trying them as I struggle with the the fiddly-ness of normal bras due to my rheum arthritis but I don't like the sound of it rolling up.

LaurieFairyCake · 11/11/2011 17:56

They would be ludicrous on my 'J's Grin

Maybe I could get one for each nork?

MitziKinsky · 11/11/2011 17:59

I could have told you they are crap just from watching the advert.

I am small of nork, and I know nothing will beat a bit of underwire and padding.

Blatherskite · 11/11/2011 18:04

Had to look them up - here Is it just me that thinks the "before" norks look better than the "after" ones? Especially the white bra lady.

I'm a FF - they'd be round my ankles!!

PreviouslyonLost · 11/11/2011 18:06

Report on Radio Scotland earlier described a woman's life being saved by the padded bra she was wearing...Ahh Bra has no NCAP safety rating then?

bananaistheanswer · 11/11/2011 18:08

crashdoll they probably wouldn't be great for you. Don't know where you suffer with your arthritis but if it's in your arms/hands/shoulders etc. then don't buy them. It is a real struggle sometimes to put them on, and at times I've nearly turned myself inside out trying to get them on. The 1st time, it slid on like the advert. After that, they roll up and it's a nightmare trying to unravel the roll up. Once I've done my bra gymnastics, I'm OK to face the world. Grin

DoodleAlley · 11/11/2011 18:25

How was the woman's life saved by a padded bra?!

PreviouslyonLost · 11/11/2011 18:35

Car crash DoodleAlley...something pierced her chest. Hurrah for her padding/chicken fillets?!

DoodleAlley · 11/11/2011 18:43

Crazy [makes note to invest in padded bras]

PreviouslyonLost · 11/11/2011 18:47

DoodleAlley Grin

I just googled it...was only half listening to radio earlier. I got lucky with the 'chicken fillets' guess...she had two pairs of them in her bra...that stopped her broken ribs from piercing her heart. Lucky escape.

Milchardo · 11/11/2011 18:52

They are bloody terrible... I get far more support from an M&S Sercret Support vest top... (Admittedly, I am a GG cup and had overly-optimistic hopes for them, based on the ads!)

jandymaccomesback · 11/11/2011 19:28

Looks like a glorified crop top to me.

Blatherskite · 11/11/2011 20:19

I fall out of the top of those secret support vests!
