I know IANBU but need to rant! DH bought me a voucher for a helicopter trip earlier this year. I booked the trip but the night before the supplier rings me and says that as this company gave not paid their bills then they are no longer accepting their vouchers! Voucher company (called Treatme. Net) can't understand why we want our money back! They really don't seem to get it!
So come on and tell me about crap customer service you have had and what you did about it

Yes bought on credit card and they are considering our claim(think it is s75 of consumer credit act?) just can't get over how the call centre staff genuinely don't seem to see what my problem is

It sounds as if treatme.net are in financial problems. If they're not paying their supplier the its understandable if the suppliers are withdrawing their services and not that surprising they're doing their best not to pay you back. Have you had something in writing from the heliciptor people? I think you need to get it confirmed by them in writing and send a copy with a stiffly worded letter to treatme.net. keep copies of everything and be prepared to go to small claims court if necessary. Good luck

soandsosmummy · 10/11/2011 19:21

of course you could always try sending a or two to the director twitter.com/#!/paulevans1973 Grin

Lawrene8 · 10/11/2011 19:24

I have got it in writing from the supplier which leads me to thunk they are telling the truth. Treat me are saying they have paid all invoices but since supplier have put their side in writing I think it is Treatme who are lying to meSad
Just wish I could get money back though. It is over £200

Write to them (treat.me) and threaten to issue a winding up petition. At the same time cc Trading Standards. That should put the wind up them enough to pay you back.

Lawrene8 · 10/11/2011 19:35

I will try that then. Do you think trading standards will be interested?

I think treatme may be lying to you too.

I THINK they have to have debts of over £750 to you before you can threaten a winding up petition on the other hand they may not know that even if I'm right

Insomnia11 · 10/11/2011 19:39

But they probably don't know that. Worth a try, I'd say.

Lawrene8 · 10/11/2011 20:38

Thanks for all your messages. It dies seem like a thoroughly crap company based on those reviews. Hope no other mumsnetter uses them

The sum definatly has to be £750 before a wind up (i know this through my work) and its a safe bet that most companies know this to be the case especially if they are in financial trouble.

My advice is to have everything in writing or email, even telephone calls you should confirm with them in writting to strengthen your case.

Threatening them with the small claims court may get things sorted however if they do go bust and there are alot of people they owe money too you will all be treated equally even if you have a court order showing they owe you money so if they are unable to pay you will be further out of pocket.

Prehaps contact a local Insolvency Practice or solicitor who may be able to give you some advice on how to word any letters to them re getting your money back.
