to expect parents to keep their LOs away from play groups when ill

My DD (11 months) has recently caught a cold, a sickness bug and a cough after having gone to play groups where there have been other LOs with the same illnesses (obviously I cant prove this scientifically but I am pretty damned sure this is the case). I have always steered clear when DD is not well so as not to pass it on. Is it unreasonable of me to expect others to do the same? And if so, does this give me permission to join in the great germ spreading fest (providing DD is up to it of course)?

It takes one to spot one.Grin I was just as bad, I think that I was a much better parent with DC 2 and DC 3 when I just carried on with normal life!

yanbu....
i dont think other parents should have the right to decide which germs are suitable to pass on to my child thank you very much
and no, i am way way past pfb, unless the f stands for fourth

my reasons?
a 'simple' cold caused pneumonia in both my father and my step father, both undergoing chemotherapy...neither survived.
i do not know what other peoples home situations are and i am not prepared to pass on germs that can cause harm to the vulnerable
