I had one of those journeys home from work where so many annoying/ridiculous/random things happen that you start looking around for the hidden cameras.

I was about to explode with pent-up (and in relation to a couple of incidents, not so pent-up) fury and I spent the remainder of the journey home composing a lengthy and in-depth AIBU thread on my trials and tribulations.

Many MNetters responded to my imaginary thread and most of you were kind enough to agree that I was not being unreasonable. Particularly in relation to the bit where I expressed a wish to put DS out of the car and make him walk home if he didn't stop chanting "pokey pokey in my noooooose" at the top of his voice.

A couple of people thought I might have been a little unreasonable in relation to the rude man on the bus but I ignored them as they are always being contrary.

I now don't need to bore you all with the actual details and can bask in the big row of YANBUs on the imaginary screen in my head.

I feel much better!

eaglewings · 07/11/2011 18:23

It's nice to have a thank you, I'm still in two minds if YABU, but as you were driving home from work and I've been in the warm all day, I'll say ywnbu

poorbuthappy · 07/11/2011 18:23

No problem!

LadyBeagleEyes · 07/11/2011 18:24

You were being VVVU though Kungfu.
Just saying.

pointythings · 07/11/2011 18:25

Brilliant OP Grin deserves some Wine.

TandB · 07/11/2011 18:26

Oy! It's not too late for me to flounce if everyone doesn't continue to agree with me.

I know I generally sit on the fence, but your [imaginary] post made my blood boil so furiously that I had to tell you YANBU.

I'm glad my twopen'orth helped sooth you after your tortuous journey.

HighHeidYin · 07/11/2011 18:27

Grin Grin loving it!

Was it as entertaining as your last driving thread?

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 07/11/2011 18:31

Presumably we also told you that 'no is a complete sentence' and to 'leave the bastard'?

TandB · 07/11/2011 18:39

"Leave the bastard" didn't feature so heavily - probably because I didn't have a chance to form a deep and dependant relationship with rude bus man, prevaricating not-indicating man or pushy escalator man.

I did feel much more involved with strange tutting train lady.....

She was probably someone's MIL...

MrsUnassumingTroll · 07/11/2011 18:42

Did you like my imaginary long and tenuously-related story about my own not at all similar experience, after which I failed to say YABU or YANBU?

TandB · 07/11/2011 19:13

Mrstroll - it wasn't entirely relevant, but the brief thread hijack was interesting.

And to be fair to you, you did come back and confirm that IWNBU towards the end of the thread after I drip-thread more information about the annoying carpark woman.
