To want one evening where I don't stink of...

vomit? Worse still, nutramigen vomit which smells like rotten spuds?

Or where I don't have ds clawing at me because he's in such pain?

Or where I feel like no one gives a damn because he's not losing weight?

I feel like life is one big refluxy nightmare and I just wanted a rant but I'm sure my post-natal thread buddies must be a little fed up of me by now. I know I am Blush

I feel for you.

I have spent a lot of DS2 life covered in sick and it is grim. I don't think the upstairs carpet will ever be the same. Luckily no carpet downstairs.

He is now 1 and still occasionally throws up but no where near as often. He also has a strong gag reflex so has been a nightmare to wean.

When out people are often amazed how quickly I react to him and can often catch the sick in something.

It will get better! Just seems to take a long time. Take care.

Feel free to rant. reflux is awful. Both ds and dd had it badly and nothing made any difference, they just both gradually got better.

It sounds like all that oesophageal inflammation is making things much worse at the moment.

Things sound really tough at the moment and you have had lots of extra stress and anxieties with losing family. Just sending you a hug and thinking of you.

Have you see website www.littlerefluxers.co.uk - worth a look.

but really it does get better

Thanks everyone for indulging me in my ranty moan. Off to bed now. You never know - he might surprise me by being lovely and sleepy and not wake me tonight. He's only ever done 11-6 once but I live in hope that he'll repeat it and even improve on it!

Right. Tomorrow's another day!

Another vote for Enfamil AR - DD2 was like a different child straight away

Morning all. Up twice but model baby going back to sleep so can't complain! Thank you all for last night. It's so hard to keep being calm and rational when you're on your own and it's relentless.

He's woken up this morning at 630 in the absolute sunniest of moods then promptly sicked up his 330am feed all over me before weeing in his nappy so much that it's leaked all over me! Happy days eh?

Flick & dingaling I'm guessing AR has some sort of thickening agent in it? I don't think we're ready for that yet. I have a suspicion that the burned areas are still healing so we can't thicken feeds yet.

This is my last baby and I really hate wishing his life away but I can't wait until July and he'll be one and almost certainly through the worst.

Hope today has not been too bad for you all. Don't feel bad about wishing him bigger - do what you need to maintain your sanity x

Keep ranting on here when you get a chance, I've found there is always someone to sympathise...and also find it strange how much sympathy from strangers on t'internet can make my day a little better Smile

buttonmoon78 · 10/11/2011 22:26

Well, the following pms have been much the same. DS screeched tonight until 930 since when I've had 2 glasses of wine, cauli cheese and a whole bag of Galaxy moments. I have turned from a gibbering, crying wreck into a slightly squiffy, slightly more mellowed lard arse.

Until 4pm tomorrow when it'll all start again...

Oh OP,been there too. Nutramigen is foul, going in and coming back up. I thought it smelt like old oil from a chip shop. Pleased you had some well deserved treats tonight.
