AIBU to think Jimmy Carr is a c**t

Jimmy Carr is the lowest of the low.

He has twittered a joke in very poor taste about losing 2 grandparents in a car crash, just as the police are releasing the m5 accident victims.

Sorry I don't know how to do links.

So AIBU to think he is a cunt?

always find him a disappointment as he is so sharp he could be dead funny without the pathetic need to try and shock.

I think this joke was an ill-times coincidence rather than anything else. As others have said, Jimmy Carr is known for pushing at the envelope. If you don't like his style don't watch/listen/follow him.

Jokes are subjective. Many people found his joke about troops in Afghanistan and the Paralympics to be in bad taste, but as the wife of an RAF officer and SIL to a Royal Marine I can say that the vast majority of those in the services that I spoke to thought it was hilarious.

I rather like him. His jokes can be hit and miss, but he's very much a "setup - punchline" comic so if you didn't like the joke he just told another one will be along in a second that might get you laughing.

As people have pointed out previously - that comment was shortly followed by:

"Very bad timing by me. The joke was obviously not about recent tragic events. Apologies if any offence caused."

I've seen him a few times and really liked him - he's not for everyone though, agreed. No need to get 'offended' though I think. Offence is generally taken rather than given....

I love Jimmy Carr. He can do no wrong.
