to ask is it worth getting a new buggy

dd is 2 years 5 months old, he buggy atm is very hard to push due to the back wheel which are also making a clunking noise. i don't think she is ready yet to ditch the buggy and in this wet and windy weather i am in no hurry to try.

depoends how much you use it.
I have a child of the same age and there is no way i could do without the buggy because we walk into town and stuff and he simply wouldn't be able to walk that far.

so, if I were you yes, I would get another buggy. although i would prob buy second hand

Depends really, DS is 18 months old and is a good walker but we had a similar pushchair to yours and have decided to upgrade it. We are however TTC so it will still be getting use after DS stops using it.

mrsrupertpenryjones · 03/11/2011 20:58

Why not get a second hand one? I got a Obaby Atlas which was in fab condition, with a raincover for £10 via another obviously inferior parenting website.

MilkNoSugarPlease · 03/11/2011 21:02

I'd get another...cheap or secondhand

Youngest charge is 2.6 and although a fantastic walker, she certainly needs it after nursery to nap in and so we can do the school run on time

BertieBotts · 03/11/2011 21:04

I'd get another too. Especially if you walk a lot.

Look on freecycle or ebay (local collection only).

HettyAmaretti · 03/11/2011 21:07

Yes, do get another. DS is the same age and I wouldn't want to be without it yet.

staylucky · 03/11/2011 21:13

Couldn't cope without one personally! Agree with others, freecycle, ebay or if you do want new for cheaps Mamas and papas have clearance/outlet stores knocking about.

ballstoit · 03/11/2011 21:15

DD2 is the same age. Definitely wouldnt want to be without a pushchair over the winter with her. Agree with others though, Ebay, Gumtree or your local paper may be a cheaper alternative.

Nicdigby · 03/11/2011 21:17

YANBU, I would def get a new one. If you sell it on Ebay after you've finished with it, it won't have cost that much anyway.

pointythings · 03/11/2011 22:05

Ours were out of buggies by this age because we are evil parents because we do field archery and it's a pain pushing a buggy (even with big wheels) around a wood, but if you are having to do long distances with tired DCs then definitely get one - lots of good second hand ones around.

auntiepicklebottom2 · 03/11/2011 22:09

thanks for the responces, she does get tired after playgroup and i am getting a bad back pushing the evil buggy.

looked in argos and there one with raincover for £30 with good reviews
