... "my lubby hubby"... is a bit bleurgh?

Just had lunch at a friend's house where I met a woman who introduced her husband in this way (in a simpering voice, of course.)

I mean, really?

Hideous. Makes me feel very queasy.

Maybe they are on drugs?

GraceWhoIsTired · 30/10/2011 18:37

OP - how long had they been married? If it was less than two years, I'd forgive them any such tweeness...

scottishmummy · 30/10/2011 18:40

Lol if mn went for this hey don't say a word about anyone else there would be no conversations,no indignant threads about
Mil
Working mums
Babies in daycare farms
Or pretty much anything, you see nature of discussion forum is to discuss, poke fun, snogger and be bitty opinionated

Lubby hubby,man shape,other half,her indoors,the missus are all rank,and worth a snigger and comment

Trills · 30/10/2011 18:41

YANBU Bleurgh indeed

woollyideas · 30/10/2011 18:46

Kayano · 30/10/2011 18:54

My husband is referred to as
'Wor Fella'

arightoldbag · 30/10/2011 18:55

I hate "babe".

FGS.

I call my DH "pet" - no nonsense northerner that's me...

marriedinwhite · 30/10/2011 18:58

I call my dh "Mark" - (not real name but same genre) in public. He calls me my name too. In private I call him snogpot and he calls me fair wifey (and occasionally "you my own" but that's a play on the real name Smile.

TiredofYorks · 30/10/2011 19:04

I call OH babe, darl or twatlugs, depending on my mood.

He calls me 'bird' always has done and always will do, I find it odd if he calls me by my name.

troisgarcons · 30/10/2011 19:04

@squeak

my husband has my name programmed into his phone as "my darling gorgeous wifey

Mine has "alert! alert! it's THE wife!!" - to the tune of Thunderbirds are Go!

"the " being the operative word Grin
