to think more people should START more threads

There are loads of thread joiners but not many starters.

I think MN would be more vibrant if people stuck their necks out and started more threads. Just saying...

Mardy - I have turned your thread title into a Sun newspaper headline:

Ooh! Pilot smeared helmet spunk; rode short tart

giraffesCantDookForApples · 29/10/2011 01:57

I made classics by name changing and posting about having sex with lollypop sticks Hmm

entropygirl · 29/10/2011 01:57

whoa talc that is a real life super power!

Mardymwahhaha · 29/10/2011 01:59

Great work talc. In true Sun style, the headline tells a complete story and the readers do not need to read the article to get a mental picture.

I'm rubbish at starting threads. I had one that was quite glorious in Classics, but generally mine peter out after about eleven responses. I am more of a riffer with the vibe, I think

TalcAndTurnips · 29/10/2011 02:07

Right - now I'm going to bed or Go Bite Dong

Sleep well, all my lovely MN chums!

Mardymwahhaha · 29/10/2011 02:10

Night nIght. Me too.

Hrmph Angry

I started a thread and no-one answered

Is it my smelly breath??

garlicBreathZombie · 29/10/2011 02:27

Thinking of namechanging to ArmchairPsychologySockPuppet and posting a Very Useful Insight to myself ....

garlicBreathZombie · 29/10/2011 02:28

... but will go to bed instead

Mardymwahhaha · 29/10/2011 16:12

Where's your thread Garlic?

OP posts:
TalcAndTurnips · 29/10/2011 16:22

I wonder, garlicbreathzombie - are you big on the US pageant scene, seeing as you could also be A chrome glitz Barbie?

Pagwatch · 29/10/2011 16:27

I started a thread. But it's a bit whingy.

But better than nothing eh?

cyb · 29/10/2011 16:36

I really can't be arsed anymore

Too many waiting to be mortally offended

Pagwatch · 29/10/2011 16:38

Cyb

I can't believe you said that

I started one yesterday too now I think about it. That wasn't very exciting either. There is a bit of a theme here.

Trills · 29/10/2011 16:40

YANBU, but you shouldn't be encouraging them to start them in AIBU!

TalcAndTurnips · 29/10/2011 16:46

Perhaps it's time for another White Knuckle Ride of a Thread About Pearl Barley? How about one about Self-Tapping Flange Head screws?

Any takers?

garlicBreathZombie · 29/10/2011 16:49

you could also be A chrome glitz Barbie

My god, Talc, that's brilliant!

SuePurblybiltFromBitsofCorpses · 29/10/2011 16:49

I never start threads, other than the long runners. I cannot stand the pressure Grin

Mardymwahhaha · 29/10/2011 16:52

If you enjoyed that garlic, try this thread which still needs to get into classics

The best thing about starting threads is you never know quite how they are going to end up. I inadvertently started a quiche once.
