I really like the look of words which don't have any up and down bits. mumsnet almost qualifies but I savour words like moon and macaroon...

You are not, I like your thinking, and title Smile

SardineQueen · 27/10/2011 20:35

I was going to say, eh?

But have had another read

And I can see where you are coming from Smile

BootyMum · 27/10/2011 20:38

Don't get the cameron bit... [I admit I am a bit thick now and never the gifted child previously either]

Surely you don't mean you like DC purely because his surname has no up or down? Now that would be unreasonable!

AgentZigzag · 27/10/2011 20:38

It should be written in bubble writing.

WitchesAreComing · 27/10/2011 20:39

yy bubble writing. Or comic sans.

AgentZigzag · 27/10/2011 20:40

I've heard less legitimate reasons for voting for DC Booty Grin

vincentvangogh · 27/10/2011 20:43

BootyMum - or rather ooum (if we omit those nasty up and downy letters)

I do not like DC. His first name is David. That's three bad letters. I like the word "cameron" though. But only in lower case. He'd have to be av cameron if he wanted to be liked. And ic e his coalition partner. e man the leader of the opposition. On this basis, and only this is cameron more likeable than the rest.

Hmm is thinking whether it would be possible to name children entirely with "nice" letters...

I like your moon and macaroon. I feel happy when I see a word with double vowels. Aardvark, green, hawaii, cameroon, vacuum....

BootyMum · 27/10/2011 20:44

But OP, your MN name has letters that go down in it!

hocuspontas · 27/10/2011 20:46

Anna, Eve, those sorts of names do you mean?

vncenvano · 27/10/2011 20:46

I feel like a liberated woman :o

vncenvano · 27/10/2011 20:47

anna, eve, cameron, zoe, arran, sean, ...

hocuspontas · 27/10/2011 20:49

7 letters is the longest name so far...

vncenvano · 27/10/2011 20:50

unless you call your child macaroon manouvre!

hocuspontas · 27/10/2011 20:53

annamaria macaroon manoevre from cameroon of course.

JarethTheGoblinKing · 27/10/2011 20:56

minimu is a nice one.

as is moomin

vncenvano · 27/10/2011 21:00

I may let you have the i in annamaria, ocusonas. I am feeling generous tonight so I will let that pass :o

vncenvano · 27/10/2011 21:01

name: one anna-caravanna-manana macaroon manouvre cameron.

hocuspontas · 27/10/2011 21:06

Blush The dot slipped in there unnoticed... OK, swap annamarie for roseanne. Better?

JarethTheGoblinKing · 27/10/2011 21:08

i isn't allowed?

bum

I still think they look nice.

vncenvano · 27/10/2011 21:09

roseanne? I like.

roseanna caravanna I like even more. I shall just go and have some more babies so I can inflict weird naming conventions on them. Or better still buy my children some pre-named soft toys. DC3 is still young enough not to veto my choice of names (hence toys called martin and keith)

vncenvano · 27/10/2011 21:11

areeonn I think i is permitted under special circumstances. I think they're less obvious if they're in the middle of the word rather than at the beginning or end. I was just admiring the word "circumstances" as I wrote it, and I didn't notice the "i" as it was insignificant compared to the "t"

vncenvano · 27/10/2011 21:14

btw I am not actually insane or using illicit substances: it's just that there is no moon tonight which makes me come over all macaroon-caravan-ooo.

PointyBlackHat · 27/10/2011 21:52

You get an extra letter on manoeuvre if you spell it right. And it's still good.

hocuspontas · 27/10/2011 22:21
