... having a baby!

Harruummpphh.

In my defence, I can only say that I am hugely excessively tired and grumpy, had absolute rubbish sleep for about a week.

All my family are away, I have the house to myself, was so looking forward to getting my head down for an hour.

And now all this blooming noise coming through!!

Midwife has been there about an hour - how much longer do you reckon it'll be?

Anyone not getting some sleep they had planned is NBU for being miffed.... however, anyone complaining about the noise someone is making giving birth needs to get over themselves and be grateful it's not them in pain

Kayzr · 27/10/2011 15:37

YANBU to want a nap. But think of the pain she's going through Smile

You'll be cooing over the newcomer in next to no time, come back and admit it when you are! :o

mrsmillsfanclub · 27/10/2011 15:41

Yabu. At least your neighbour has a good excuse to make noise. The twunt next door to us has his alcoholic mates round and they are shouting and swearing at full blare with the kitchen window wide open, while my dh is trying to sleep after 12hr night shirft. I can guarantee your neighbour will have quietened down a long time before mine does.

TimothyClaypoleLover · 27/10/2011 16:22

That's what has always put me off wanting a home birth. The thought of all my neighbours and passers by hearing my screams!

worraliberty · 27/10/2011 16:25

My 3yr old slept all through my home birth and so did my neighbours Grin

I only gave one loud roar

I think the conception was probably noisier to be honest Blush

Kayzr · 27/10/2011 16:26

My neighbours didn't hear a thing. When they saw the MWs car they assumed she was just doing a check up.

callmemrs · 27/10/2011 17:01

If your walls are that thin, gawd help you when the babys here!

PopcornMouse · 27/10/2011 17:08

lmao @ worra :D

belledechocchipcookie · 27/10/2011 17:09

I'm with callmemrs. You need to move now because you're going to get bugger all sleep.

ihatecbeebies · 27/10/2011 17:24

How unreasonable is your neighbour, messing with your nap like that! Bang on the wall, that should get the hint across Wink

ihatecbeebies · 27/10/2011 17:25

Hahahahahaha at Worra

SacreLao · 27/10/2011 19:15

Oh dear, I am planning a home birth with baby due in a few months and hope to god my neighbours don't hear me.

I would be mortified!

effedorf · 27/10/2011 19:16

She is doing brilliantly but baby not here yet, I don't think.

YANBU I mean it's bound to sting a bit but stiff upper lip and all that Grin

pozzled · 27/10/2011 21:00

Whatever you do, don't say something along the lines of 'It sounded like you had a really hard time'. My neighbour said that to me after my planned homebirth ended in a transfer to hospital. Blush It was a long time before I could look her in the eye again!
