Yes I know that animals have to kill and be killed. It's nature innit! But FFS can't they do anything else. Back in the 80s it was sex all the time - lions didn't seem to be able to go for 5 minutes without shagging something, ditto bears, hyenas.. the lot really. It was a sort of Joy of Sex for the lower creatures. And OK it was a bit tedious. And sometimes a bit embarrassing if watching with parents. But honest to God it's preferable to now when nothing survives for more than a few seconds without being mauled to death by something with more teeth and a bigger hunger.

I started to leave DS2 to watch Dinosaur Planet alone after finding it too upsetting. You'd find some sort of beast that you managed to find vaguely appealing - and it would be eaten alive. Then a few minutes respite....and something else slightly cute would get ripped to shreds.

Heaved a sigh of relief when Dino planet finished and settled down to watch Frozen Planet..... Bye bye infact buffalo. And bye bye (nearly) penguin.

Bring back the animal SEX! Please.

It's the way of things. Even the eat things now.

ChuffMuffin · 26/10/2011 22:11

That's what animals do though innit? Sleep, shag and eat. Sounds like the ideal life to me!

Have you never been to the zoo woman? Grin

Ormirian · 26/10/2011 22:12

chuff - I have never seen anything eaten alive at the zoo!

Apparently jellyfish are taking over. Stuff the zombie threads, its jellyfish threads and jellyfish survival we need to be thinking about.

Crikey I said jellyfish a lot there.

jellyfish..

Ormirian · 26/10/2011 22:19

The walruses can just fuck the fuck off TBH! Nasty vicious bastards (if we can beleive Mr Attenborough)

Jellyfish can live forever.

A certain kind of jellyfish anyway.

Soon it'll be all jellyfish.

HappyCamel · 26/10/2011 22:22

It's when the meerkats start cracking jokes that I worry...

AgentZigzag · 26/10/2011 22:24

Unless it's a mutation species that can haul themselves up on land, the jellyfish can take themselves off and swivel.

I'm not afraid of anything that looks like a cross between raw egg and snot!

AIBU to be annoyed because I was just tucking into a nice codfish, and dWH decided he fancied a shag. I was just getting into the groove when a fucking great white shark came along and bit the poor bastards head off!

RedOnion · 26/10/2011 22:29

I am of the same opinion re: the jellyfish AZZ, but, apparently there are some species that are developing the capacity to move on land.

Soon we will all be slaves to the jellyfish overlords. I am going to give in early and have myself some human/jelly babies with one of the leaders so I will be safe. I suggest you all do the same.

Ormirian · 26/10/2011 22:30

GLobal warming zigzag? Sea-levels rising? Be afraid, be very afraid.....

I'm suitably afraid.

But not afraid enough to pass up the opportunity for some red hot jellyfish action

LiegeAndLief · 26/10/2011 22:38

Ds loves all this killing and eating stuff. I frequently have to pretend to be some form of prey animal having its throat ripped out in the playground. The game sank to new depths last week when ds insisted that I assume the role of dead buffalo, so that he could be a vulture.

There's something wrong with him isn't there?

Haggyoldclothbatspus · 26/10/2011 22:49

Agentzigzag here

AgentZigzag · 26/10/2011 22:53

Well wadda y'know Haggy?

Who'd ha' thunk it? Grin

OutragedWalrus · 27/10/2011 22:41

How dare you diss my kind? Just wait till I get my tusks on you! Next time you're at the zoo missy just watch it, because we'll be watching you (points flipper to eyes then in your direction)
