£22 pounds per adult??? For what is in essence a large greenhouse?

I think it's a fantastic place. £22 is a bit steep but I will still go when I am in the area next year. I assume they do a family ticket like most places which reduces the cost?

For a big attraction now I would expect it to cost somewhere between £15 and £25 if your paying full price, the key is to watch out for vouchers and offers!

We enjoyed it when we went. We got an all in one train ticket and entrance ticket and it worked out reasonably cheap. It is a fair bit of walking but I think it's worth it. Take a picnic if you're that bothered by the food.

I went there about 8 years ago. I remember thinking it was nice, but a bit sterile. I found it peculiar being surrounded by so many trees, but no birds or wildlife.

I've had the misfortune to go twice.Sad

Went with DP pre DCs. It was overcrowded and duuuuuull. And I speak as a keen gardener. I was expecting lots of rare and wonderful exhibits but, as someone already said, it was like walking round a garden centre. Sad And my DP doesn't do gardening so you can imagine how miserable he was!

The second time was a trip with my PGCE group when we were given a lecture about school trips and how to use places like that. More fun coz we were just messing about.Wink

We went earlier this year and we thought it was brilliant. Really interesting, spent all day there. The children's bit in the middle was fantastic. They had a circus skills area and a big water area - DCs & DH spent a couple of hours just doing activities while I sunbathed

We went this summer and really enjoyed it, so much so that we visited again during the week that we were in Cornwall.

The den building and water play were a huge hit with our daughter and I thought the food wasn't too bad compared with some other places we've been.
We're planning to visit Cornwall for may half term too in order to reuse our tickets.
