To be shocked at the price of knitted hats for newborns

I was out shopping today for my twins due in Jan and found only a couple of shops that sell knitted hats for newborns. They both had them priced at £15.99. AIBU to think this is expensive or is this the norm?

I sell things (not like this) on Folksy.com It's a site for handmade items and I know there are lots of ladies who sell hand knitted items for much much less than this.

Mothercare are currently doing buy one get one half price - 2 knitted hats for £5.25 !

YANBU - baby clothes are ridiculously overpriced. I have been looking for a winter coat for my 4 week old DS. I found one in my crappy small town with hardly any shops for £35 That is the same price for an adult one!

Suffice to say, I got one from ebay for 99p!
