Many local pay & display car parks are now installing machines that force you to add your registration number to the ticket so that you cannot pass any unused time on to another parker. I think this is a bloody liberty! If I have paid for 2 hours parking and unexpectedly get back after only an hour, I should get a refund if I'm not permitted to pass on the ticket. Apart from boycotting these places, I'd love to know if there's another way to get my own back.

Serenitysutton - parking fines are ring fenced but not car park revenue. At least not where I work...

hauntedstateofmind · 19/10/2011 01:32

Patty I am in Singapore

Car park revenue from pay and display was in the local authority I worked in which I thought, at the time at least, was nationwide. Obviously ncp/ hospital parking etc have nothing to do with the LA.

The people who own NCP are INCREDIBLY rich- millionaires - many millions... (think of all the car parks in every town, take little maintainence, few employees, lots of fines and thousands of daily charges). Sneaky ways to get more money (no change for starters)...

Pass on your tickets if you can.... I love it when someone does it to me.

NCP is privately owned? Shock
I always assumed it was public.
Bastards.
