To not want a coat that looks like it's got nipples

I?ve just received a winter coat that I ordered (Merrell Wakefield Insulated). It?s a nice coat, it?s warm and everything, but... at the top of the darts at the front of the coat, the material sort of indents in to two squares and so it looks just like the coat has square nipples.

Now I don?t know if my nipple coat is a one off, or if they all look like this, but am I being really picky to be bothered by it? Would it bother anyone else? I don?t know if I should think that I?m spending lots of money on a coat, so I should make sure I?m happy with it, or if I should just get a grip ? it will keep me warm and dry with or without the nipples.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'm so pleased that I'm not an unreasonable (inverted) nipple obsessive!

I'm going to package the coat up now and ask for a replacement.

Woah inverted nipples too. Send it back, you can't go around looking like that.

BOOareHaunting · 16/10/2011 21:03

Got as far as the picture of you r nipples Grin Sorry!

Send it back - that's a hell of a lot of money on a coat, especially one that has nipples (unless that's an added extra hence the cost?).

fragola · 16/10/2011 21:07

Maybe you do pay extra for the nipples - could be one of those "design features" that I don't understand.

snice · 16/10/2011 21:11

you cannot wear that out in public!

OhMyGolly · 16/10/2011 21:14

That is deeply funny haha, sorry op, yes send it back, I did think you might be exaggerating, but no that is bad.

pictish · 16/10/2011 21:16

Ohhhhh hahahahaaaaaaaa!! OMG!
Send it back, yes!

Hassled · 16/10/2011 21:17

Sorry but I've laughed like a loon at the square inverted nipples. WTF were the designers thinking? So they actually look at the clothes they've produced?

NhameCage · 16/10/2011 21:20

send back yanbu and arf.

Oh dear not good, can I say that the fit does not look right either.

wellthatsdoneit · 16/10/2011 21:26

. Yes, very nipplie. It's going to have to go.

fragola · 16/10/2011 21:30

Ah in terms of the fit, I still have a few pounds of baby weight to go, but it's on track to be gone by winter! Also, tonight it was extra snug on top as ds2 has a cold and hasn't had a feed all day Blush

Grin Grin Grin

Definately send it back

comedycentral · 16/10/2011 21:42

Send it back! This post has made me chuckle. Good luck with the rest of your weight loss by the way.

pictish · 16/10/2011 21:49

Your photo made me laugh so much OP, I'm sorry. Grin
You are quite right of course, but you did give my otherwise dull Sunday evening a good tickle.

BrikSchittHaus · 16/10/2011 23:25

nippley versatile

that is all

piprabbit · 16/10/2011 23:30

fragola - did you stick your fingers into the nipply bits, just to make your photo funnier?

ModernToss · 17/10/2011 11:54

You should send the photo back with the coat, so that they can see what you mean (and have a giggle).

buttonmoon78 · 17/10/2011 11:58

Send it back!

fragola · 17/10/2011 11:59

Honestly piprabbit, I didn't indent the nipples any further. I even tried to tease them out a bit to see if the material had just been ironed strangely.

It's odd but every time the nipple coat photo is mentioned now, I start to blush. Must remember it's not my nibbles that are being referred to Blush

piprabbit · 17/10/2011 12:02

That typo made me snigger...nibbles indeed Grin.

SayGhoulNowSayWitch · 17/10/2011 12:07

You have to send that coat back. No one will ever take you seriously in that.

Maybe the manufacturers could do a nip/tuck

SeveredHeadsDragonTheFloor · 17/10/2011 12:11

[arf]

Definitely email them a copy of the photo to explain why you are returning it.

fragola · 17/10/2011 12:12

Oh good god, nibbles, I can't even say the word now!
