Had a smear test yesterday at 4.45. DH made sure he was home slightly earlier (self employed and flexible) to look after 8mo ds. I went and took my kindle, expecting a good 20 mins reading time in the waiting room. To my surprise and horror I was called in straight away and done withing 3 mins!! Was it worng then to spend 20 mins reading in the car afterwards before going back home to dh and ds?? I told a friend about this today and she was aghast that I didn't want to go back home straight away - but at the minute ds is v demanding and loo breaks, showers and time in drs waiting rooms are precious bits of me time that I savour!!
