To think DN's BF is being unkind about Pandora bracelet?

Having no prior experience of Pandora bracelets, I would like the benefit of your advice. Are they chavvy or DN appears to have found "a steady chap with good prospects, and good looks to boot" to quote my Great Aunt.

She also has a long standing best friend who seems possibly to be a little miffed about this boyfriend.

This week the boyfriend has given my DN a Pandora bracelet with a few charms on it. The best friend announced that she thinks Pandora bracelets are chavvy? DN seems hurt and upset.

was she just being unkind?

YABU for using the word chavvy so many times in your op

Anyone who uses the word Chav is a bit thick tbh

Ok, without using the word 'chavvy' here, I always thought that Pandora bracelets were a bit vulgar and the kind of thing that people buy to 'show their wealth'. My case was well and truly rested when a Pandora shop opened in my local town - definitely not a classy town!

As an aside I knew that the bracelets were expensive but I was Shock when I went in there and saw the prices. There were gold bracelets and necklaces for over a grand! I think the percentage of people living in my town who could afford that is very small...

They are quite chavvy. I hate them. Give me a Graff diamond any day.

Her friend sounds jealous, tell DN to ignore her friends nasty comments.

If they are chavvy then it is expensive chavvy! I bought a charm for my sister`s birthday and a tiny charm cost £40!
