... a bunch of mean misery mum bitches. I did immediately jump to your defence, calling him a boring twat for spending every possible fee minute doing some fantasy football carp and may actually lose his beer belly if he played real football. This debate was definitely not started because I have spent most of the evening in MN.

nethuns??? really????
what's wrong with the man????
Shock

divorce him!

EmpressOfTheVampireSkulls · 11/10/2011 15:53

Lesbian yes, but not currently in my dressing gown. Although I'd like to be.

Andrewofgg · 11/10/2011 15:55

Well, I may be mean, although I hope not, I'm certainly not misery, and anatomy rules me out of the rest of it . . .

dozyrosie · 11/10/2011 15:59

Well at least his fantasy football obsession limits the trail of fucking carnage he leaves behind him to the desk, and not the rest of the house. Still I think I might just buy a bigger shed, put his PC in there and keep him out there until the odd occasion I actually need him. At least then I'll be able to go on MN in relative peace, quiet and tidiness.

DH announced to me the other day that we're you're all basically on a witch-hunt and have double standards.

YouWithTheFace · 11/10/2011 16:04

I converted my grumpy Tory father from believing this was some kind of lefty crazy PND-ridden hangout to, um, voluntarily wandering around the site looking, I believe, for biscuits, and inventing stories based on the baby name generator.

My DH reckons viperwolefs are not to be messed with, and his first line of research on the baby is always, "What do they say on Mumsnet?"

ThePathanKhansWoman · 11/10/2011 16:06

Gosh, he's met me hasn't he? Grin.

ScarahStratton · 11/10/2011 16:16

I have trained my family. DDs always say 'ask on Mumsnet please' if they need to know something.

Which reminds me, has anyone used Soap & Glory's new cosmetics range? I'll go and do a thread, S&B scares me. :(

giyadas · 11/10/2011 16:16

DP wouldn't dare diss MN, he has the Fear, and will be on his best behaviour if he thinks I might dob him in.
Also any questions he perceives as odd will get a Hmm then a quick glance at the laptop then a very considered reply. (ever since I told him that pigeons get cold this time of year Grin)

NunTheWiser · 11/10/2011 16:20

Hello, my name is NunTheWiser and I'm a Mean Misery Mum Bitch.

ThePathanKhansWoman · 11/10/2011 16:22

Waves to giyadas (we were in a band together y.know)

Grin You didn't do the Pigeon question on dh, did you? ha mad.

ripstheirthroatoutliveupstairs · 11/10/2011 16:26

My DH has no idea that I spend virtually all day here.
He is coming back from forrin parts on Friday for a whole week.
I will not be appearing as frequently.
OP, your DP is a twunt.

giyadas · 11/10/2011 16:27

hey jazz hands! Grin how the solo career [winks]
yep I did the pigeon question. He fell for it at first but he has a tendency to overthink things and just wouldn't let it drop. Very funny for a while but in the end I was sorry I asked tbh.

DreamsOfScream · 11/10/2011 16:29

I'm starting to suspect my DH is sabotaging the phone cable to stop me getting on here. I think he is a bit intimidated by MN

Well maybe not. But it has been broken 2 days in a row. We shall see if it is busted again tommorow morning! All that has happened is that it drove me to DIY to work out how to fix it when I got the hyperventalating under control so if it was him he is making himself obsolete.Grin

bintofbohemia · 11/10/2011 16:29

I wore my dressing gown the whole day yesterday. It was brilliant.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 11/10/2011 16:33

DH doesnt really say anything about mumsnet. He'll notice me reach for the laptop and will do a big sigh, roll his eyes and then say "I guess I can watch what I want on TV then?"

PeterSpanswick · 11/10/2011 16:33

Well that's exactly what I thought when I first met you all..

You had me at hello..

ThePathanKhansWoman · 11/10/2011 17:13

Grin @ Peter

for giyadas Wink

My DH asked me what i do on MN told him he wouldn't understand its for
intelligent conversation and insight. (obviously he has no idea about naice ham, jazz hands et al).

beakinthebeeswax · 11/10/2011 18:59

I will kick his head in!

My DP calls it Bumsnet too. He would like it if he tried it.

dozyrosie · 11/10/2011 21:19

More fool the man that takes on a 5 foot woman, weather it's beakinthebeeswax or me :o.
ripstheirthroatoutliveupstairs; twunt is a marvellous insult, I may even use it in my next "debate" with DP.

OP posts:
QuietNinjaZombie · 11/10/2011 22:05

Jeez why dont blokes like mumsnet? My dh is the same. We've just had a calm and reasonable row discussion that started with me asking a question and him saying have you been on mumsnet? It is resolved now and I won
Honestly you'd think that they'd prefer us educated and opioniated and full of mumsnet wisdom.

PureBloodMuggle · 11/10/2011 22:15

imy problem would be that itls just not very clever, least bumsnet, is a little better

but mean misery mum bitches doesn't in anyway connect

even mardy numpties would be better

i would have had to tut loudly an tell him to try harder, however my dh hasnlt a clue bout here

crazynannawitchbitch · 11/10/2011 22:27

I don't have a DH/DP or even a DK...but I sure am one biiiig beatch Wink

scottishmummy · 11/10/2011 22:27

He's a bit fick if that's best profanity he can muster
Dull.lame and big bit bawbag

Matronalia · 11/10/2011 22:45

DH is on here somewhere as a lurker mainly but he posts sometimes.

(waves)

He finds the site very useful/entertaining/interesting

Thats jsut reason 976 why he is still my DH
