To boycott the fancy dress???

My 2 Ds have been invited to a "pirates and Princesses" fancy dress party. Great if you're a girl, Loads of beautiful princess costumes out there.

My boys are 1 & 3 and very small. All the shop pirate costumes are far to big & I don't have any trousers of ds2s that i particularly want to cut up.

Would IBU to just take them in normal clothes?

Have you not seen Jake and the Neverland Pirates? They're not baddies at all.

DS (4) is going to be a pirate for his School family disco this week and for a halloween party at the end of the month. His outfit is all bits from ebay and hand-me-downs from cousins and hasn't cost a lot at all - plus it'll all go in the dress up box when we're done and get used over and over again.
