If it's a proper boil, it may well refill overnight, especially if encouraged by additional basting. I had to have mine re-birthed a couple of times, professionally! First go produced copious pustard, next was yellow sausagemeat. So there's still hope of more action. Stay strong.

Ds has been patiently waiting for a splinter to work to the skins surface for months. He showed me it had crowned yesterday and he let me sqeeeeeeeze it all the way up and pull it out with tweezers, it was a gorse thorn tip so just kept coming.

Dh had a splinter on his back he resisted me getting out until it was so infected I would have sent him the the GP if he'd have gone. He woke me up in the middle of the night to "please do something about it NOW".

I rubbed very gingerly round the very outer edge of the redness (about 2" in diameter by this point) and he nearly hit the ceiling as I was apparently "squeezing too hard". He lets me do them sooner now. It was a good one to do, when he let me at it. Must suggest the milk bottle one next time.

DeWe I am really lucky that ds is so tough, he's only 8, we winced but didn't flinch or make me stop. Don't tell your dh that though

DP suffers my attempts on his back cos he knows I'll just hold him down and do them if he doesn't. :o

I had a humungous boil on my chest a few weeks ago and would have paid someone to squeeze the damn thing.

When it decided to go it oozed gallons(well seemed like it)

Now all that remains is a circular patch and smaller lump on my chest where no hairs grow..

Oh and I don't have an OH anymore to squeeze anything at all..

So glad I married a man who will let me at his back on a nightly basis.
