I never got chance, we were "just the YTS kids" and they were grown ups (early 20s) and paying students... that said, one of them did invite my friend and I to afternoon tea, and bought us cream cakes and a big box of Milk Tray because he knew it wasn't our fault and we hadn't meant anything.

I expect he'd heard that decadent Western girls could be easily bought with cakes pom.
