nothing against them, perfectly good supermarket, OH works there so I even get a 10% discount, but was still gutted that I had to do my shopping there.

Im trying to collect the tesco vouchers for the 70% off pans, and have 7 (need ten to get the discount) and the offer is quickly running out.

I went in to tescos to get a couple of things while taking OH to work, and ended up spending £23, and all I could think was 'could have got one voucher for that....'

I must admit, the chickens are not great

the pizzas are good though

Alliwantisaroomsomewhere · 07/10/2011 23:36

The cooked chicken I bought from Morrison about 5 years ago had 4 million feathers on it still.

AnyCorpseFucker · 07/10/2011 23:39

Do you still hold a grudge, Alli ? Grin

A couple of months ago someone here, whose name has passed me by or has namechanged or left, recommended Morrison's bio laundry liquid that was on ludicrously cheap special offer - £1.50 for 28 washes.

My mum bought a bottle for me because there's no Morrisons near me with a view to buying more if we liked it.

DH, who is in charge of laundry and a terrible snob, held out for ages before using it.

He then said it was great.

Too fucking late, mate. They'd put the price up Sad

Thanks to whoever it was for the recommendation.

I love Morrisons and their beautiful deli counters and luscious bread....but it's not beautiful enough to negate my utter rage whilst in there (overpacked end of aisles/narrow aisles) and my subsequent headache from the crap lighting....

Confused

The tesco pans are naff anyway ..... They have inflated the prices to make you think you are getting a good deal.

Proudnreallyveryscary · 08/10/2011 08:02

What a weird thread

I would much rather shop in Morrisons than Tesco - my family has boycotted Tesco completely because it spreading it's tentacles into every industry, ruining small businesses and the government is doing nothing to stop it.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 08/10/2011 08:08

It wasnt a weird thread Proud, it was OP's roundabout sneaky way of getting other posters to offer her the vouchers! She probably does all her shopping in Morrisons but fancied the tesco pans! Wink Grin

gruesomerottingteeth · 08/10/2011 08:16

Morrisons is the best!! Their ccokies are amazing, their pizza's are fab. They do great salad. They've even started getting some new deli bits in and some rather lovely ready made curry.

I love morrisons :o

Proudnreallyveryscary · 08/10/2011 08:30

Oh I see, thanks Ferret. I am a terrible skim reader!

SayCoolNowSayWhip · 08/10/2011 08:44

We shop in Morrisons as our main supermarket except when I miss Waitrose and travel miles out of my way to buy ridiculously overpriced products that I neither need nor want

It's fantastic value although my only bugbear is the fruit and veg aren't always as fresh as they could be.

YABU to shop in Tescos Wink

ronx · 08/10/2011 08:54

Give me Morrisons any day. It's fresh meat is far better than the dry, tasteless rubbish from Tesco and Sainsbury's. I don't care about loyalty points, which are a rip-off anyway. Our nearest Waitrose is lovely but I always spend a fortune there.

Misspixietrix · 08/10/2011 09:32

No YNBU :) And I'm with Agentzigzag on the doughnuts!! :o (and the fruit flans!) x

DizzyDummy · 08/10/2011 10:19

limitedperiodonly Morrisons have got that washing liquid offer on at the moment at my local one, fab value. I love them for their fantastic fruit and veg which is miles better than even Sainsburys, the lovely fresh fish counter, own brand garlic bread, freshly baked bread, even the 35p pack of wet wipes are good.

limitedperiodonly · 08/10/2011 10:21

Thanks Dizzy will tell my mum today.

DaveyStott · 08/10/2011 10:27

Vampirecella - you are bang on there. Why do they put those stupid baskets in the middle of aisles? And why do pensioners insist on gathering around them for a gossip? My blood pressure always goes up when shopping there.
They do some good offers, the fish counter is really good - but their lemon drizzle cake is shite.
