To think it's not ok for a taxi company to send car which already has a passenger in it?

I'm SO irritated! We call a cab for school run on Fridays...DH takes them and we are saving up for a car atm. I work from home and can't drive...school is 2 miles away and usually we catch the bus or sometimes a lift.

Today the cab has rolled up with some girl sitting in the front passenger seat!

DH seemed unpeturbed. We had DH, DD aged 7 and DD aged 3 all sitting on the back seat and some bloody young woman in the front!

AIBU if I call the company to complain? DH felt it was probably the drivers girlfriend or something....I feel that if you pay for the hire of a car and driver, that does not include some freeloading girlfriend!

Your paying that bit extra for a service, if you wanted to share youwiuld get a bus.

I just rang and they said it wa "driver assesment" which I know is a lie as I had already called DH and asked him!

I asked about what if I had needed to get in and he said "We would have told her to get out and wait!"

In the rain!

So what he should have not had her in there when he is picking up a passenger, therefore he should be told by his employer

Slightly cheeky, but in the grand scheme of things i'd move on.

You need to use a different taxi service. They can either take the piss with their regulars (the 'bread and butter' clients) or they can look after you. That sounded like a real piss take on their behalf, and one that lead to your DD not being able to use the booster seat. Not acceptable customer service.

They should've said something when you booked the cab to ask if you minded.

I think that I would phone & point out that it wasn´t acceptable on their part & the cab was only used by you this time to prevent the children being late.

And if this is a regular thing by you they know how many are usually in the cab?

Was no explanation given by the driver?
