for not wanting to have builders watching me during labour?

i'm almost 39 weeks and started my much anticipated maternity leave. we live in a block of (rented) flats and as i'm writing a massive monster of a scaffold is being put up outside - aargh, they're going to pain our bloody windows! now i'm terrified of going into labour with a squad of builders watching me. and they are LOUD (singing along to the radio and whatnot). my only consolation is that i didn't opt for a homebirth but i'm still freaking out!

When I was in one of my many labours with DS1 next door was having a loft conversion. I took exception to their choice of Radio 1 so bellowed at DH, who went round and had a word. They were silent for the rest of the day (and I was a bit embarrassed because DS1 didn't arrive for another couple of days).

just noticed that the guy singing "dancing queen" in front of my bedroom window looks like tingle tangle bob!

going by what i've read here now i might be grateful for the distraction once things have started :o
