Those double buggies with the seats placed on top of each other so one poor mite is cramed in with nothing to look at but black canvas.

Mind you I slightly claustraphobic.

Nah - my DC are older, and I had doubles - but detest this shoving the younger one almost in the shopping basket thing. I have no idea why they can't design a pram where the front one is lower than the back one, so they both get a view, with the lower seat being removable, and for the youger child when it is on there.

Oddly I thought this myself, I have noticed a big increase of these buggys lately. I think the child shoved into the bottom of them looks uncomfortable.. has no view.. and it looks claustrophobic.

i had one for ds4 and dd (have recenlty passed it on and i got it second hand as well)

i wouldnt have bought one but was given one, and tbh when the baby is tiny the underneath bit is good as it sort of sways like a hammock and helps the baby to sleep, then when dd was old enough for the seat underneath she was quite happy, once she was a bit older she went on top and ds4 underneath and he could hop in and out as he pleased. i always attached tys etc underneath and they were both perfectly happy in it and they can see out fine to the sides etc and ds4 positively loved it and is rather cross taht i have got rid and am making him walk/scooter everywhere, evil mum that i am!

what i didnt like was that they are very heavy, particularly with a large 2/3 yr old and quite a chunky baby, i use my nipper now and its a breeze to push in comparison.

I honestly don't think the smallest child should be transported directly at the level of car exhaust pipes...

which MNers was it who referred to the child at the bottom as "riding bitch"? Was it Expatinscotland? I still snigger and think of it whenever i see one.
