To physically cringe at the word "dildocam" being used for the transvaginal ultrasound?

I've seen this word used quite alot on the pregnancy boards and other places. Ugh I just hate it..I shudder when I have the displeasure of reading it. What an unholy and vile word.

It's not a dildo. It's a bloody probe. I don't see any vibrating bits on the end of it to give the woman pleasure when she's having a scan.

Ugh.

Yuck.

I find 'sex toys' hideous anyway in any context. Really hideous. So although I can see the humour in this of course the word still makes me shudder. I can't write or say it myself - and when someone suggested I try one I nearly thumped him.
