DD is 14mo.

All the other same aged children around here go to bed a lot later.

I'm a bit fed up of all the Hmm other parents are giving me but I think she needs it

Absolutely fine. Ds was always shattered by 6pm and in bed asleep by 6.05pm. I can't remember exactly how old he was (isn't it funny that as the passage of time makes you forget these things?!).

When he did used to nap during the day it took me an absolute AGE to get him to drop off. He would not nap in the cot, I walked the soles off my shoes traipsing up and down the streets in the pram to get him to sleep.

He dropped his daytime nap really early so come 6pm was exhausted (as was I). He did wake early, around 5am roughly but literally nothing else worked. There was little I could do but accept he was an early sleeper/early riser.

He's 4 now and still goes to bed around 6.45pm, asleep quickly but is sleeping till 7am ish, has just started full time school which is tiring him. He just needs his sleep I guess Grin

Nothing wrong with that, mine used to go to bed at that time when they were that age. I'm sure that's why they love their beds now and need between 11-12 hours sleep most nights.

YANBU.
My DD and DS (5yo and 2.5yo) very rarely go to bed after 7pm, and sometimes at 6.30pm. They get up between 6.30-7am. I am always Shock when I hear about LOs going to bed at 9pm, but I guess some need less sleep than others. Mine have always been 12 hour-ers!

DS (19 weeks) is usually in bed asleep by 6.45, wakes about 6.30am, has a feed and then sleeps another hour or so on our bed. Ive tried to keep him up even a bit later so DH can see him but it's like an internal clock has run out at 5.59 pm .....
