To think DH needs to take me seriously on this??

I came in earlier to see a huge beef steak in the fridge. I told DH I was cooking duck for tea and he said that was ok, the steak was just a treat for him for afterwards Hmm assuming he meant supper I grumbled about his so called diet and began cooking the duck. Anyway the duck turned out delicious Grin but I've just gone into the kitchen to see DH tearing at this steak RAW with his teeth like an animal, blood on his face and hands. Surely this cannot be healthy and at the worse, dangerous?? I know chicken is dangerous uncooked, not so sure about red meat, I know some people have it rare but totally raw??

He won't discuss it and says he does it all the time (I didn't know this).

AIBU to think this is a bit gross/dangerous?

I wonder whether he's anaemic - if he felt the need to eat the steak to the extent that he couldn't wait to use cutlery, or cut a piece off and put it onto a plate, he may be craving iron.

LadyBeagleEyes · 03/10/2011 19:53

I dunno, chewing on a raw steak just after he finished a meal is very strange.
And the blood dripping down, I mean, has he done this before?

ChippingIn · 03/10/2011 19:54

This is a wind up right?

BelleEnd · 03/10/2011 19:55

Jeeez. He'll be licking cows next.

Pandemoniaa · 03/10/2011 19:57

To be slightly more serious for a minute, he must have the appetite of Desperate Dan if he can eat duck for tea and need a steak afterwards. That'd worry me more than the savage attack on the innocent piece of beef.

ScarahStratton · 03/10/2011 19:59

Got to be Chipping, or the title would have been more 'Arrrggh my DH is eating a raw steak with his teeth'.

Unless he's a chupacabra in disguise? Hmm

NorkyPies · 03/10/2011 20:01

He must be anaemic, I guess.

Vallhala · 03/10/2011 20:04

Solve the problem. Send him here ...

... no meat allowed in this house. :o

ScarahStratton · 03/10/2011 20:06

Zombie? Hmm

AnyFucker · 03/10/2011 20:07

Is this a spoof thread ?

ScarahStratton · 03/10/2011 20:08

That's my guess AF.

Dustbin and Wine? Just in case.

TakeThisOneHereForAStart · 03/10/2011 20:09

Rollergirl1 · 03/10/2011 20:17

Is this a joke??!!

Eating raw steak is fine. Eating raw steak in the manner you describe after having dinner is weird. Have you checked him out in the mirror lately?

ScarahStratton · 03/10/2011 20:19

Wine is through the straw. I said we needed a fucking Cake emoticon.

AnyFucker · 03/10/2011 20:25

Gimme cake

I can eat cake in the described manner, no problem at all Smile

Does that make me a (cake)monster ?

LadyBeagleEyes · 03/10/2011 20:28

Is there a full moon tonight?
This is the third weird thread I've clicked on tonight.

ScarahStratton · 03/10/2011 20:30

Lots of cake, don't panic about the cake situation. And wine, all stocked up. Hockey stick do you as your Looting Stick, or do you want something more hardcore?

AnyFucker · 03/10/2011 20:36

I fancy me a lacrosse stick

more for your upmarket lootin' dontcha know...

ScarahStratton · 03/10/2011 20:38

Careful you don't get the net tangled in their teeth...

HedleyLamarr · 03/10/2011 20:50

If it's fillet steak from a decent butcher then no problem. Other cuts from a supermarket I wouldn't trust to eat raw. But he could've at least shown some manners and decorum. The freak. Grin
