it has been suggested that I help with the next school fair
TBH I was so traumatised by the last one I'm not sure I can

but please tell me what is usual?

are the committee allowed to help themselves beforehand (paying obviously) if so where does it stop?
1 thing each
£10 each

The items we auction off usually go for 30-50% of retail price so they're a fab bargain and you're not wasting money like you are on raffle tickets.

And I can't promise balance bikes to everyone who queues for Richmond's NCT sale Grin I've seen one and a non-volunteer got it. Admittedly one of the first through the door but a member of Joe public none the less.

I do agree with the point about needing to have good stuff so people will come. If it was all tat it'd be disappointing and not worthy going. Striking a balance is good.
