Son likes wearing nail varnish..

2 and a half yr old DS loves having his nails painted. I see no problem with it as it's just dressing up in my opinion but wanted some views on it FIL went mental saying he'd turn out a 'woofta' I told him to never repeat that to me again as I don't care if my son turns out to be gay/straight/unicorn/whatever but AIBU to paint his nails?
Am I setting him up to be bullied?

DS only really plays with the girls at nursery although he does point out boys toys and tell me they're for boys. I just let him play with what he wants and wear what he wants. He isn't hurting anybody and it makes him happy.
I thought I'd get a right lashing on here for even admitting I put nail varnish on a toddler!

He enjoys it. What sort of message would it send if he wasn't allowed and his sister was? Your FIL is very wrong, good on you OP for standing your ground on this one. YANBU
