:( gutted for you

barbie007 · 27/09/2011 20:47

scum of the earth!

MothInMyKecks · 27/09/2011 20:48

Bastards of the highest order.
So sorry Lizcat. Karma will get them in the end with any luck Angry

AuntiePickleBottom · 27/09/2011 20:49

Awwww poor you, hope the home insurance covers it ( not that the cost is important as the sentimental value)

Laquitar · 27/09/2011 20:53
Angry

How did he get in ?

Lizcat · 27/09/2011 20:55

They ripped the double glazed french window right off it's hinges. Police say they were determined professionals who would have carried on smashing till they got in - nothing would have stopped them. Amazing considering it was broad daylight and our neighbours were both at home on either side less than 20 meters away.

They'd deserve it the fucking twat.

DeepPurple · 27/09/2011 20:57

YADNBU although chopping the bastards fingers off might be more effective.

Laquitar · 27/09/2011 20:58

Bloody hell !

Are you alone now?

bluelaguna · 27/09/2011 20:59

YANBU. Burglars are scum. I still have horrible memories of being burgled when I was little.

HeidiKat · 27/09/2011 21:00

YANBU, hopefully the next house they break into will have a hungry rottweiler waiting for them.

OchAyeTheNooPal · 27/09/2011 21:00

That's bloody awful. Do the police have any hope of catching them do you think? Utter low life.

Lizcat · 27/09/2011 21:02

It all happened at lunchtime, unfortunately the cockerpoo only wanted to lick them to death. The police are very hopeful as a couple of the items that have gone are very very unusual.

That's awful Lizcat.

I'm hoping that you might find your engagement ring. I leave mine in various places when not wearing it. Any chance yours might still be in the house?

ginmakesitallok · 27/09/2011 21:03

YANBU - my Mum was burgled last year, they took all her jewellry including stuff that had been my Grans Sad Such a horrible mix of emotions to go through, the anger, the sadness, the frustration and the fear. Its shit it really is. But you will feel better. In the end it's only THINGS they took. Very unmnetty hugs to you (or I'll pass a baseball bat if that would be more useful??)

ginmakesitallok · 27/09/2011 21:04

Oh - and at least your wee dog's OK Smile

Lizcat · 27/09/2011 21:04

Unfortunately all was stored carefully in their boxes. So have long gone.

So sorry. :(

You are NBU!

WishIwereAtTheWiesnProst · 27/09/2011 21:08

We were robbed by an absolute idiot of a teenage junkie burglar (tuned out to be one of my sister's friends :( )

Didn't touch any of my mom's actual jewellery though.... stole all my plastic costume jewelery on rope necklaces (90's remember!) Would have been funny if I didn't feel sick form the idea of him touching my things and if he hadn't vomited all over our house.

Gutting. My engagement (and wedding) ring is pretty much the only thing I'd worry about losing.
