to wonder what this man was doing at the end of our lane?

I took the dog out at about 10pm. just as I was nearly home a car drove past going towards the end of the lane - it's a dead end and there are only 2 houses beyond ours. It pulled over and a man got out. I was quite a distance away - maybe 30 yards, but he seemed to bend down, examine the bottom of his car, then wash his hands and arms in the stream. Intrigued I loitered and then he splashed water on his back windscreen. AIBU to think this a bit odd?

I'm off out now to check out whether the car is there again - ie to see if he lives there.

A car ran over a rabbit in front of me once.(To be fair, you wouldn't need to do it twice!). I had rabbit blood and what I suspect to be some brains on my windscreen my wipers couldn't reach. If I were near a stream I would have washed my car too. I bet he was wiping off badger guts or something.

Not sure why he would wash his arms after dogging, Ilovemykitchenmaid. I suppose he could have been fisting somebody.

Whatever that means.

I imagine he'd hit an animal or heard a weird noise from underneath.

He then got 'black shit' on his hands from looking underneath so washed them. He splashed the windscreen because the water supply to the windscreen washers had run out.
